Helen founded Squirm Dance Company in 2012 to create work for an ‘everybody’
audience in unusual venues, blending her own unique style of quirky gestures and
humorous realism.
Helen believes everyone should have access to dance, be that the
audience or participants, a value that runs through Squirm Dance

Francesca

Francesca has a background in performance, training at Coles Forsyth Dance Academy (previously Sue Cole's School of dance) since the age of 5 and working alongside choreographers such as Helen Paler and Nikki O'Hara at venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Sadler's Wells and Milton Keynes Theatre. Francesca is currently a company member of Freewheelin, a West Midlands based wheelchair dance company.

Jenna

Jenna has been performing since a young age. She attended CHB Performing Arts School and performed regularly at a variety of performances and practiced in a range of dance styles. Jenna graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA Hons in dance in 2013. Jenna has been a member of Squirm Dance Company since 2014 and continues to develop her dance practice.

Katie

Katie has been performing since the age of 5 with Simone's School of Dance. She furthered her training at De Montfort University, graduating with a First Class BA Hons. She continued her performance experience with Motionhouse's 'The Voyage' and Birmingham Opera Company's 'Mittwoch Aus Licht' before joining Squrim in 2013

Leah

Leah has been dancing since 3 years old in ballet, tap & contemporary. She studied dance at Wolverhampton Uni, graduating in 2003. From there she studied a dance Masters at coventry in 2014. Leah taught baller for 2-19 year old & Adult Advance Tap at DanceXchange for 10 years. She has performed at various venues with different companies over the years.
